Appeal of the Final Revocation Decision

When an individual in custody receives the Prisoner Review Board's decision regarding their revocation, they may appeal the Board's decision in writing. There is no live testimony given while the appeal is under review.  The request will be granted under the following circumstances and/or for the following reasons:

  • For any substantial error in the Final Revocation process; or
  • Upon newly discovered information that was not available at the time of the initial hearing.

Upon receiving a request for reopening, a parole panel will either:

  • Grant the motion to be reset to a new docket date
  • Deny the motion; or
  • Reverse the previous Board panels revocation decision
